Short exposure

These small balls of wool are very common in the humid Norwegian nature. It took a bit of perseverance to photograph them.

The cotton grass dances in front of the lens at just a touch of wind.

Aperture f/8, exposure 1/1000, ISO 400, focal length 17 mm, polarizing filter, tripod

In order to get at least one or two of these hairy white clumps reasonably sharp, the exposure time has to be kept short.
Nevertheless, I didn’t want to open the aperture completely to retain some depth of field.

With a slightly higher ISO value I was able to achieve a quite good result.
