Break the rules

Berg im herbst

The distance to a subject and the light are crucial for a successful photo. Composition also plays a very important role for professional photographers.
I’m not a professional photographer. That’s why composition only plays a secondary role for me.

Aperture f/8, exposure 1/80, ISO 50, focal length 17 mm, polarizing filter, tripod

With this picture I broke one of the most important rules of composition: you should never put the main subject, in this case the mountain, in the middle of the picture.

For me, the mountain belongs right there, in the middle of the picture. 😉

  1. I like it, it is framed by the bushes so ok for the mountain to be in the middle. {I would have thought}
