Such small, often very old, boat houses are called “Naust” in Norway. They actually only serve the purpose of keeping small boats in them to protect them from wind and weather. You can find them all over the banks of the fjords.

At this time of year, the small “sheds” are a very nice photo opportunity. Many places cannot be reached by the sun in winter. The water is frozen and there is a lot of snow. In the background, however, you can clearly see that the sunlight is slowly but surely coming back.
